Dynamic Peace

Terry Woodland

Board Learning Circle

By working with money for 30 years, Terry has been able to observe how people interact with and respond to money. For most of her professional career, she has worked a consultant to different types of businesses in accounting and finance. She has also owned her own business and was previously the controller for a community health center. In these roles, Terry used financial information to provide meaningful feedback and support to clients to make better decisions about money and to increase profit and sustainability.

Terry found that, by learning how to listen, money tells us the truth about what is working and what is not.  Money touches our vulnerabilities, histories, and emotions. Through her own desire to make a living, to have a peaceful and healthy life, and to contribute to the community, she learned a different way to approach her relationship with money. To be in balance with money requires balance between head and heart.  More and more, she has found that money is an expression of love and joy in her life.

She is the co-creator of the Money of Love workshops.  The Money of Love is an evolutionary process of change in perception and understanding of money.  This process involves a personal inquiry into the nature of money and our individual definition of and beliefs about money.  It is through the expanded understanding of money that we can change our relationship and interactions with money.

Terry has  a peaceful and simple life. In addition to her previous work in a community health center, and the Money of Love workshops, she volunteers in the treasury for nonprofits.  She is grateful for her lovely family and her new role as a grandmother.  She like plants, rocks, art, nature, beauty, and travel. She has a daily spiritual practice, many great friends, and she is a member of a spiritual community.
