SIMPLICITY: A Gift of COVID-19
When I realized that the COVID- 19 pandemic was really happening I stayed home and didn’t work for the first time since I was 16 years old. My usual routine changed. I felt a slowing down. Instead of going for a run, I walked. Instead of going to work, I stayed to work. Instead of meeting a friend out for tea, I drank tea alone at home. I went inward. Not wanting to watch the news, I stayed in my own inner world before I felt a hesitant unfolding, a coming out, a readiness to attend to what else needed tending in my outer world.
