Dawn Flynn

I grew up in the Seattle area spending my summers on a trail high in the mountains or on the wild shore of the Pacific Ocean. My love and gratitude for the natural world grew with me. I studied Biology at the University of Washington, received my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA and my Master of Science in Acupuncture from Tri-state college of Acupuncture in NYC. It was here that I was introduced to Focusing. The philosophy of Gene Gendlin, PhD, who brought Focusing to our awareness, resonated deeply with what drew me to Eastern philosophy and holistic medicine. After years of experiencing the benefits of the practice I became a certified Focusing trainer through Ann Weiser Cornell, completed a 2 year Focusing Oriented Therapy and Complex Trauma Training Program with Jeffrey Morrison LMHC and have thoroughly enjoyed studying Whole Body Focusing with Glenn Fleisch, PhD. Now, Focusing is an essential part of my healing practice. I enjoy facilitating workshops, writing and experiencing with others what is beautifully revealed from the unfolding wisdom of the body.
